The easiest solution is (most likely) to install Samba.

No, I'd like that for _all_ other services the masquerading is not

I'm having problems with the connection between one computer using Windows
based OS and the other using Linux. I have enabled encryption password and
sharing. I can log on to the Windows base computers from the Linux box,
but I can only bring up the user directory in the Windows based computers.
Wonder how to resolve the problem:)

Make LILO boot into Windows 95 by default and just reboot. There is no
way you can do it except by rebooting.

Sounds like you'll need to recompile Apache. I've found before now that
it isn't too hard.

Alternatively, it looks like LoadModule could be your friend - look at
the top of httpd.conf. Not sure if this works or not though.

As for where to put the AddModule line: it can probably go in any of them
- as far as I remember, the three files are effectively concatenated then
processed. (Don't take my word for this though!) However, given a few
config files I have lying about the place, httpd.conf is probably the
best place to put it.

Let's see -

Four posts, all excessively long, all asking the same question, the
answer to which could be found if the poster would bother to read the
documentation provided with his operating system and topped off by
posting in HTML. Hmmm - Does "get a clue" apply here?

Any reason to particularly expand a partition rather than adding a new
one?

I don't know of any tools to expand an ext2 partition although others
will know more.

Are you too short of disk space to make a backup of the existing
partition, repartition, reformat it then restore the backup?

Doh! I've just reread the web page, and if you look carefully you'll see
it's the *build* configuration file (in fact the file Configuration) that
needs to have mod_rewrite enabled. So basically, you *will* need a
recompile (unless you can get LoadModule to do the trick) but the file
you need is src/Configuration. I've just looked in mine and in fact the
relevant line is in there, just commented out.

Btw, is there an FPU option for the microSparc ? Either in some of the

I didn't recompile my kernel. I'm using the kernel from my original
installation. The isapnp.conf has the settings of IO=0x220, IRQ=5, DMA=1 for
the SB mode.

I was asked by sndconfig to set the IO, IRQ, DMA, etc manually, when I did
not have /sbin, /usr/sbin in my path. Once, I corrected this problem, it did
set the right IRQ, DMA.

If you want to try a different method, check this webpage

http://www.physics.mun.ca/~jwoodfd/opti931.html

I've used this with my RH4.2 (kernel 2.0.30) and RH5.1 (kernel 2.0.32) and
it worked.

Good luck.

Do you have anything on /dev/hdd the secondary slave? if so try disconnecting
it. I had a mitsumi that caused strange failures like that. Check jumpers
and try changing the ribbon cable.
check the log on bootup and see if there are any errors for the
