That CC_CHECK_LDFLAG_APPEND was a copy from CC_CHECK_CFLAG_APPEND which was made either by flameeyes or xine project that already had their copyright in this file. Now that function has been _removed_ from attributes.m4 and replaced by a more generic one, so no need to worry.
