I am attempting to start dos with icon#1 and run autoexec (diff name) #1; OR icon#2 with autoexec (2nd diff name)#2.
Intent: 1 icon puts me in my menu structure, the other gives me an empty screen with a c: prompt. I tried the xdosemu -input '\r' -quiet -E startup1 didn't work in the icon. ran it from the c: prompt in a console window. It executed (I think), then back to the john@sentry prompt. Boot.log did not mention any command line errors. The 2 startup files are in the same dir as the autoexec that I execute. I could not find the -input and -quiet cmd line opts in the docs. I also could not find a reference to autoexec in the config files. all I really want to do is set an enviornment variable. The 2 line (3 with set) autoexec calls a startlin.bat on my dos d: drive. Here I test the env var and fork accordingly. -- John Sowden American Sentry Systems. Inc. 1221 Andersen Drive San Rafael, CA 94901 U.L.
