Hi, Martin Reuber has contributed some VGA fonts which give the xdosemu window either a size of 640x475 (8x17), 800x600 (10x24) or 960x750 (12x30).
Note that recent DOSEMU testing releases have fullscreen X mode support that can be toggled using ctrl-alt-f, and with the default vga font will automatically try to switch the X server to 640x480 resolution. However the contributed font can obviously look nicer (sharper) at 1024x768. In light of the (pending) contribution by Eric Auer to support user (DOS) fonts in DOSEMU I'm not sure about adding these fonts to mainstream DOSEMU; the problem is that user fonts can only be 8x8, 8x14 and 8x16 (and not the fancy font sizes like in the contributed fonts; or am I missing something here, Eric?). Hence I've just put them at http://dosemu.sourceforge.net/vgafonts.tgz (46k) --- if there is enough "grassroot" support they can always be added to the main DOSEMU I suppose. There's a README file in there explaining how to install them.
