Hello,

I have a circa-1988 eprom programmer that is on the edge of working
under dosemu.

The last problem is :

When the software runs, it creates a text menu on the screen. Although
most of the characters are correct, there are a few text strings that
print as pound signs or blank (with no video chipset and
console/graphics disabled).

Similarly, with my chipset inserted and console/graphics enabled, the
pound characters become solid white boxes.

This is one of those dos programs that behaves similarly to curses under
*nix. As you select options on the display, it draws virtual subwindows.
Whenever it draws these subwindows, most of the text displays as a '#'
(or a white block) as previously described.

If I boot into Caldera DR-DOS, everything is ok.

This is a StormLinux/Debian (>>potato) system with dosemu 0.98

TIA,
John
