Hello,
A few days ago I had a strange behaviuor of my router (Slakware kernel
2.0.33). Suddenly the crond started to multiply itself and its children.
When I tried to connect to another computer (using ssh) it respond that he
doesn't know who I am. After that I took a look in /etc/passwd file
and it was empty. Even the shutdown command doesn't work probably due to
the empty password file. The only message that I could find was:
kernel: unable to load interpreter.
I cannot find traces about hackers. Finaly, I rebuild the password file by
hand and then change the passwords.
Could someone explain that strange behaviour?
TIA.
