Well I have a Realtek 8029 controller . The strange thing I get is that
if network connection breaks (a modem hang up for example - it has to be
an abnormal "logout") during a telnet session for example , the user
remains logged on ! That means that if i retry to login again (by opening
a new telnet session) the ttypX that was in use a minute ago , is holding
the user logged in and the next available ttypX is assigned to the current
login in progress . On other Unix boxes a soon as a connection breaks ,
the login disappears (the ttypX hangs up) ...
Sorry for bothering you but I really don't know to who should I apply :(
Any suggestions are welcome . Thanks for your time ,
Harizakis Costas .
