I have read the cable modem how to but still don't get it. Arlington cable
in Virginia uses a Com 21 cable modem for download and requires a telephone
modem for connecting and passing requests upstream from the server to the
ISP. Eventually I would like to implement IP masquerading using the cable
modem but can't even get basic connectivity.

Is anyone using Redhat Linux 5.x connecting to an ISP with a cable modem and
a regular voice line? Would you share your inetd settings? I have
temporarily installed the cable modem on a win 98 box and it really rips but
I feel as if I have turned to the dark side and fear that a long stay in
purgatory awaits me for this transgression.
