Hi all,
I compiled kernel 2.2.0pre6 in a RH 5.0 box using 2.0.36. Every
thing is fine except X-windows which does not go beyond first screen (
screen without colour and icons) . On termination of the process I get
following message.
_X11TransSocketOpen : Socket () failed for local
_X11TransSocketOpenCOSTSClient: Unable to open socket for local
_X11TransOpen : Transport open failed for loacl/goat:0
goat:0 probably indicates for webmin or my hostname.
The X-windows starts fine when I boot from old kernel or 2.0.36
