Hi, I have the following problem. I have host A with IP-address 172.16.0.1 and I want it to respond to arp-requests with another IP-address (say 172.16.1.1). Therefore I run the command # arp -Ds 172.16.1.1 eth0 pub on host A But when I try to ping address 172.16.1.1 from another host within network 172.16.0.0/16 and afterthat list the arp table (arp -a) I see the string 172.16.1.1 (incomplete) My configuration is RedHat 5.2 (kernel 2.0.36), IBM PC 300 GL, 3Com 509-combo.
