I second that emotion.  I get so tired of seeing the media incorrectly refer to a
"cracker" as a "hacker", which their only reason is that "it is the term they have
always used".  Such ignorance.  At least correct mentions of "hacker" and "hacking
the kernel" in the recent awareness of linux (one who "hacks" or optimizes their
source code for performance) is encouraging.
