Hi, My little problem with "SIOCADDRT: Invalid Argument" is solved. Thanx to everyone who responded. My next problem is a step further. As said before I want to run an X-server on my win95 pc to access X on my Linux box. So I installed xdm (the X-server works best that way :-) and typed "xdm" at the root prompt. Everything workes fine...exept: I have to shut down both my PC's every night. Problem is that I have no clue how to kill xdm. Just a simple "shutdown -h now" in a terminal window quits when the mouse services are tried to be stopped. With "ps all" I don't get xdm in the list so a "kill" won't work (?) So twice now I had to switch of the power to get a good nights sleep. Sorry to bother you with this...This is a network thing right? :-) Regards, Ferdinand - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-net" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
