Hello Philip, having just upgraded (quite successfully) to
2.2.1(+pre2 in someplaces) & upgrading my net-tools to the
above . I find I can't utilize the 'pointtopoint' parameter
when trying to set this attribute on eth0:0 style interfaces .
yes I'm aware that as far as the kernel goes they don't really
exist & are there just for us 'lusers' to feel we have defined
something . Until we do a 'route -en' under 2.1.100+ .
I keep getting 'pointtopoint: Unknown host' (+ Usages) .
I must be doing something wrong or aliased interfaces can not
be assigned this attribute ?
