Hello,

        After doing many kernel re-compiling I decided to do a total re-install of
Redhat 5.2. Now I don't seem to have a kernel. /usr/src shows- linux,
linux-2.0.36, and REDHAT. The problem is linu* dirs only have a single
child dir of _include_ . I of course can't do a make config. _find / -name
.config_ shows nothing.
        I downloaded a complete kernel and compiled it, but I lost all my NIC card
configs. I really don't want to go down this road at this time.
        Question;

        What happened on my last install? How can I easily get my orignal kernel
and .config back?

Thanks,
M Bold
