mmm look's like my homework for the next 4 weeks
i've have 4 segment's in a private lan
segment 1 :
to the firewall ( we're using 192.168 and the firewall
has a ip on the internet )
segment 2 3 4 :
to each segment, the segments cann't comunicate with each other
but can connect to internet
my solution :
kernel 2.2.1-ac2 in use
ipchains installed
make ipchains rules so dat forwarding is allowed as long it's not
for ip's like 192.168.x.y
PS. a other guy has the assignment firewall/masqurading mut i't
not so much work to do that on 1 host
is some like no forwarding for 192.168.x.y , masqurading to 0.0.0.0
and yes linux can handel the load very good
our test was 10 simultanios linux install's for a host outside our network
and it ran each with the speed of 98 kbytes/sec

my pleasure
