I am sorry to trouble you, but I am in need of some urgent help. I am a final year student at Bournemouth University, England, studying Business Information Technology. It is that time of the year where I am trying to write up my dissertation of which the title is, "Variations of Local Area Network traffic patterns, between Linux and Windows NT." I have carried out a number of experiments, copying different size files from one machine to another, two machines to one and two to two. All these were done over a hub and a switch and using NT and Linux as the operating system. I have done all of my NT experiments, I just have the Linux ones to do. I am basically trying to find out which operating system runs the quickest over a network, and why? I was wondering if anyone had any information concerning my dissertation or knew of anywhere that I could find some decent information. Anything that you have got around these areas would very appreciated as I am not the brightest of students and I am in need of some help. COULD YOU PLEASE EMAIL ME DIRECT AND NOT TO THE MAILING LIST, THANKYOU. Yours Sincerely Daniel Newton mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-net" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
