Ok. I have a linux box up and working great. I add a network card and
a hub, but I can't even get the two to communicate or even for a light
to show on the hub. I know the hub, cable and NIC are all fine because
they work ok in my Windows machine. What else do I have to do? I tried
using the network configurator to make the card "active" but that didn't
seem to get any results. Do I have to enter IP information? My goal is
to get the Linux box working on the hub so that I can have my Windows
machine communicate with it. I guess I need help from the ground up if
anyone has done this before.
