Hello.
I'm currently trying to set up ipv6 on a local network. I have done it
successfully on one machine, but on another machine I get an error when
trying ping:
# ping ::1
ping: icmpv6: unknown protocol
I am using the binary net-tools package ipv6bin-980320s.tar.gz and have
the same setup on both machines: linux 2.2.3 with these ipv6 options:
CONFIG_IPV6=m
CONFIG_IPV6_EUI64=y
CONFIG_IPV6_NO_PB=y
The ipv6 module is inserted.
I don't know where to begin with this problem. To me it sounds like a
kernel configuration problem (a protocol is missing) but as far as I can
see, I have enabled all ipv6-related options.
Any help will be appreciated
