Hello,

I've been trying for the last few days to install an ethernet
bridge on a RedHat 5.2 (kernel 2.0.36, 3Com 3c509B) and failed
miserably.
The setup is the following:

<external net> <--- eth0 <-> eth1  ---> small net

the small net has IP-nrs so no IP-masq necessary. eth0 has also
an IP-nr.

I followed instructions from the howto (kernel modification, brcfg tool
and promisc settings). If I do a tcpdump on both eth cards I
see activity. But the small net can't do a thing.

Does anyone have any experience with this?
