themes for kde? not enough? have you gone to kde.themes.org?
Its also quite easy (well, not very hard, thats a better way of saying it)
to make
your own theme for it.

nope

I have been able to run other progs which use different libs than the kde
libs.
        (is that what you meant?)

I think KDE is very user friendly, it is very easy to configure
(add progs to menus, make links in folders, look and feel, etc..)

I don't believe so. once your x server starts you can then startkde
, but you have to start the x server first.

not sure, anyone?

kde installs by default to /usr/local/kde, and I don't believe it
overwrites anything.
so uninstallation if necassary would be safe.

yes, you go to the K menu (thats what I call it, equivelant to the
startmenu...)
and there will be a link to menu configurator or something like that, (i
don't have it in front of me...) make sure the link has "menu" in it,
not "panel" too.

sorry, not sure on what you mean here..?

oh yea, if you have a .kdelnk that points to a executable, which cannot
find its
libraries, your machine will lock up, if you added the option of
ctrl-alt-bckspace to kill the x-server in your setup of X, you can hit
that key-sequence, then restart xwindows again.

thats about all I can add...
