Hello all!

My apologies if this is not the correct mailing list for this
question, but I'm getting desperate.

I'm running a Redhat 5.1 Linux box for email forwarding. Basically
the system is establishing a connection at 8:00am and polling our
multi-drop box every minute (via fetchmail & sendmail) until 6:00pm
when it disconnects.

The system breaks out mail based on the 'To:' address (no other
choice, the ISP doesn't support 'X-Envelope To:') and hold it so the
folks in the office can retrieve it using their favorite email app.

Its ugly, but it works - at least for the most part.

Occasionally people retrieve an email with one or more additional
emails concatenated onto the end. The second email is delivered
normally - no email is lost, just duplicated.

Interestingly, I ran across this paragraph in the man page for
procmail:

If there is no Content-Length: field or the -Y has been
specified and procmail appends to regular mailfolders, any
lines in the body of the message that look like postmarks
are prepended with `>' (disarms bogus mailheaders). The
regular expression that is used to search for these post-
  marks is:
      `\nFrom '

I would really appreciate any help you could offer.

-Mike
