It seems to be that a P75 will work fairly well for handling the PPP and
firewall system. I guess the main problem will be how much RAM I can find to
put in the machine. I think another 16MB would help... though probably not all
needed.
I also have to get a LAN card that will work in the old computer... but that's
another story... I'm thinking simple 10-BaseT NIC... PCI maybe... with some UTP
to hook the 2 computers together.
The P75 will only have the PPP services, and the firewall running on it.
Everything else will be running on the 2nd computer. I just want to experiment
a bit with using firewalls, and networked PPP systems.. so I thought this would
be an interesting start. I have time to work through any problems (c:
