Why ? The ISL is encumbered by being CISCO proprietary thing:
"To inquire about obtaining a license to use this ISL Functional
Specification, please send an e-mail to ..."
An open and free specification is called IEEE 802.1Q, and is being
worked on, see: http://www.primenet.com/~greear/vlan.html
