I have 8 nodes of cluster connected to a 3com 100 Switch. 4 of them using
3com 3c905B Cylone and other using 3com 3c905 Boomerang.
The problem is, when i boot up Mandrake 5.2 (kernel 2.0.36-1),the Cylone
cards are running at 10,not 100 .(the NIC light point to 100 before Linux
boot up). This problem exist before so i add the line :
options 3c59x option=25 full_duplex=1 into /etc/conf.modules
and it works...
But this time it doesn't work !
'modprobe 3c59x' give the error :
"symbol for parameter option not not found "
This problem exist after i downgrade my kernel rpm to 2.0.36-1 from
2.0.36-3(Mandrake 5.3) bcoz i found out that my clusters run faster under
2.0.36-1 (Mandrake 5.2)
