I'm trying to get linux to work with the DEC 21143 based network card in
the docking station of my sony vaio laptop computer - so far, without
success. Loading the tulip module works, however I get an error trying to
configure the device using ifconfig.
Here's what the module prints to syslog on loading:
The PCI BIOS has not enabled this device! Updating PCI command
0014->0015.
tulip.c:v0.89H 5/23/98 [EMAIL PROTECTED]

And the error message for ifconfig:
SIOCSIFFLAGS: Try again
The ifconig commands shoul be ok - same command works if pcmcia netcard
module is loaded instead of tulip. Guess the problem is that I somehow need
to force it to use the right physical interface; I tried setting Module
options when compiling the module but didn't have any luck.
Any hints appreciated,
