I have no experience with Linux & the 905B but a lot with this NIC and
Novell, Win95, & Win98 and NONE of it is good!! (Use a lot of plain 905s
with
Linux with no problems.)
It seems very "sensitive" to having the latest driver from 3Com in those
environments. It became so troublesome at my former job we simply
stopped
ordering the darn things. I'm sure D.Becker and others can give you a
better explanation but from my limited perspective 3Com is just trying
to do too darn much with what is basically a transceiver.
Someone ought to reacquaint them with KISS.
FWIW, you couldn't give me one of them.
