Hi, Yeah thanks to all who responded, I managed to get ppp0 to become the default route. I had mistakenly used linuxconf to set my host's IP as the default. Got that fixed now. However now when I connect to my ISP and run 'sendmail -q' to send all queued messages it takes a long time (about 15sec) to send the first message. Everything else seems OK. Pinging an arbitrary Domain Name (sunsite.unc.edu) showed good results. Fetchmail brought down my mail from my ISP properly. Also now that the network seems to be OK (more or less) I want to set up my server to accept dial-in requests. How do I do this and what are the security issues I must make note of? Redhat 5.1 kernel 2.0.35-2 Thanks in advance Ishaaq Chandy - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-net" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
