F is for forwarding. It tells the kernel if it is allowed to toss packets
from one of its interfaces to other interfaces.
I is for the input firewall. It is a list of rules the kernel applies to all
packets it receives from other machines.
O is for the output firewall. It is a list of rules the kernel applies to
all packets it will send to other machines.
