You may want to try and build your own kernel. Do not include
any extras like SYN Flooding. I have read that this
may cause delays in TCP. Stock kennels usually come with
things that Beowulfs do not need (or can cause problems).
I should say I have not investigated this, but it sounds like
a reasonable thing to check.
