ipop3d replacement?

Hi,

after many inquiries and whithout any satisfying answers, I still have my
problem with ipop3d (shipped with RedHat).  So I'm looking for an
alternative to this software.  I only need the POP3 abilities (no imap).
Which ones are available, which are the best, and why?
