Hi all,

yesterday, I plugged the gigabit stuff together. The hamachi
driver init fine, but 2 of 3 system starts lead to the following
error:

kernel panic: skput: over: 20845160:65532
in swapper task - not syncing

It happens always in the startup phase, when some network
service initialization happens (nfs, atalk, etc...), just after
mounting :-(

One of 3 starts succeed, but compared to the 3c905, the network
"feels" slower, although bing and ping -fs 1500 showed exellent
numbers. Nevertheless, the network feels like having micro sleeps:
some continously displaying X-progs (like a serial monitor) shows
scattered delays whereas running smoothly before with 100BaseT
(even with 10B2). GUI handling of remote X apps feels slow.

Who's to blame? the switch or the server?

2*PII/300 SMP, 512 MB Ram, Linux 2.0.36, hamachi 0.07
iswitch 510T Firmware 2.42, full duplex and flow control enabled

Thanks for any hints!

Hans-Peter

P.S: for Donald: on tidalwave.net server is still hamachi.c v0.05
