Hi there, I'm running several Linux machines with different distributions and different inetd versions. However they have one thing in common which is really driving me crazy: From time to time somehow inetd either crashes by itself or some users manage to make it crash (DoS attack?). Is there any way around this? I mean it's ridiculous that I have to constantly monitor my servers and manually restart inetd to have all my services available 24 hours a day. BTW, the only reason that I can still log in at all to restart inetd is that I have sshd running on all machines. Thanks for any insight into this topic.
