I had a similar problem. When I telnet'ed from my Windows NT 4.0 box to
the Linux server, it would only give me the server name and version info,
but not the login prompt. However it worked on my brother's Win95 box.
When I went and looked in the server's host list in Linuxconf, under "
Infomation about other hosts ", I saw that the NT box didn't have an
alias, but the Win95 box did. When I put the alias in the NT boxs
section, it worked. Try that. Put just the hostname in the section
called Alias in Linuxconf under "Information about other hosts".

Hope this helps... Let me know...

Jeremy
