You are correct, however if you list up to 3 nameservers in resolv.conf it will
try each one of them in turn before it lets telnet and friends timeout. This
will _normally_ be enough time for the ppp connection to be established.
If you have 3 nameservers to use that is fine if not put the same entry in
3 times it will have the same effect. I found this in the diald docs a long
time ago and it works fine for me.
