Mount!??

Hello.

I have a problem with my CD-ROM I think.

If it is the wrong list please excuse me.

I try to mount my CD-ROM with mount command

mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom

and it says that

/dev/hdc is not a valid block device

I looked in the /dev directory and there are cdrom -> hdc a symbolic link I think.

Another problem.

I have the option user in fstab for /dev/cdrom and when I try to mount from one of the accounts it says that

only root can do that.

Please tell me if something it is wrong or if the problem appears just from the symbolic link. If so tell me if I can remove it.
