I need to recompile (or patch - whatever) my Debian Linux Kernel so that it
supports transparent proxing. I want to use the redirect features of
ipchains. From what I can determine, that one option has to be configured
in the kernel installation. I am completely in the dark as to patching the
kernel. Is it dangerous to change the kernel? How do I do it? Can I just
change that one option or do I have to reconfigure everything?
