I'm running smbmount from Samba-2.0.4b on a RH 5.2 with the 2.2.10 kernel
upgrade. When you compile Samba make sure you do a
"./configure --with-smbmount". On my system the files installed in
/usr/local/samba so I had to move the binaries and man pages to their
accustomed directories.
I also had to move smb.conf to /usr/local/samba/lib.
