The only way to do that is to use their code in a product (open-source
or not) without crediting them in the documentation (If this Feldman
fellow really said that, this is the accusation). If it were GPL, there
would be other way to "steal" code, which is using it in proprietary
products, period.
My understanding, then, is that this guy accused Alan of committing an
illegal act (violating the BSD software license). So, the burden of the
proof is his (Feldman's), or else he *can* face legal charges of libel.
