Also, bear in mind that DNS resource records (RRs) each have a
specified time-to-live (TTL) value. Once the TTL has been exceeded,
the record will be removed from the cache. A TTL setting of 24 hours
is typical, so it's not like your named will have had six months'
worth of records cached.
