might be interested in how different MTAs use available bandwidth.

Ok. I've just checked postfix and it does the same. So it looks like
this:
qmail: delivers to each recipient separately - BAD
zmailer,postfix,exim: delivers to all recipients per domain - ACCEPTABLE
sendmail: delivers to all recipients per server - GOOD
(I'll trust Matti on zmailer :)
Sendmail is the most effective MTA - multiple domains will get one
delivery if served by the same server. Oh well. Looks like i'm going
to use sendmail for outgoing mail - bandwidth usage matters here. A
lot.
