For general security information, you can try the usual sites
(www.ciac.org, www.cert.org, www.securityportal.com) for bulletins.
There is also the Linux Security HOWTO at
http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/Security-HOWTO.html.
Apache is certainly the popular choice, and information about various
security issues is available on their web site
(http://www.apache.org/docs/misc/security_tips.html). You might also read
the Linuxworld article on AOLserver
(http://www.linuxworld.com/linuxworld/lw-1999-09/lw-09-aolserver_1.html)
if you plan to do dynamic content with database interaction. I've also
heard that the commercial Zeus web server (http://www.zeus.co.uk/) gives
impressive performance with minimal system load.
