Hi,
It is beyond my imagination what has happend in this case. My Sony IDE
CD drive of the server is faulty. so I replaced with Samsung 48x CD drive
and instaled RedHat. After instaling and testing The Samsung CD drive was
replaced with partly faulty Sony CD drive. It caused the ping erroras
mentioned earlier. As soon as Idetached the cd drive it started pinging.
Its starnge for me.
