Ok...i have a little problem: i'm setting up a LAN between myself and 2 other computers (so 3 in total). One of them is running evil winvirus95, and the other is running slightly-less-evil MacOS 8.something-rather. I'm running linux & freebsd. (never mind the freebsd part). I'm trying to setup my linux box as gateway for IP masquerding (anyone know how to spell that? hehe). Anywho, the other two machines on the network can ping sites outside of our LAN..but they cant load up webpages or do anything useful. So my guess is they're having problems connecting to the DNS (we use a dial-up ISP). i'm running RedHat 6.0, 2.2.x kernel. I've installed ip-chains and i've configured the network according to just about every ip-masq HOWTO and mini-howto i could find. it still isn't quite working right. So..anyone got any ideas? i'm confused about routing options specified in NET-3-HOWTO...do i need to add entries to my routing table for this to work or?? somebody please help me! :) ~Joe~ __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
