Linux Internet Connection - A Simple List of Steps.
Can anyone "please" direct a simple man to a simple list of steps to connect
his Linux box to the Internet.
My Windows 98 connection details are:
DialUp and Network Information:
Active Dial-Up Connection: Yes
Dial-Up Speed: 44000 Bps
Bytes Transmitted: 1772 Bytes
Bytes Recieved: 23474 Bytes
IP Address: 203.43.69.61
IP Host Name: cn3704
NetConnect Via LAN: False
NetConnect Via Modem: True
NetConnect Via Proxy: True
NetConnect Online: True
NetRAS Installed: True
NetConnect Status: You have a network connection configured.
, and uses a proxy server. The local system uses a modem to connect to the
Internet. Remote Access Services are installed on this system.
I am using Slackware 4 distribution.
I simply can't thank you enough! (in anticipation of a simple list of
steps.)
