tulip (version 0.91). Given that the tulip driver is pretty good, I
don't think it has anything to do with the driver. I also get the same
message with the ethertap driver when I try to adjust the mtu. I have
access to another machine that has ethertap on it, but I can adjust
the mtu on its interfaces, so it doesn't have anything to do with
ethertap either. The only thing I can think of is that I have ip
firewalling compiled in. (I don't think that it is compiled in on the
oterh machine.) Would that have anything to do with it?
