I need to have encrypted connections for telnet and ftp to the outside
world. I work for a commercial entity, and buying software isn't out of
the question.
I have been considering a company that sells apache + ssl (to cover us
as far a as liscensing of the RSA code), but I know that ssl can be
used for telnet and pop connections, but I can find no info about how to
do these things on linux.
I am hoping to avoid buying commercial ssh servers and clients. Because
we already need to implement ssl for our web server ($1000), I hope that
comeone can explain how to implement ssl for all of our secure needs on
linux.
If you can help me out or simply point me in the right direction of how
to use ssl without needing ssh, please let me know.
thanks in advance.
