Hello,
I'm
new to linux but have a lot of general UNIX network programming
experience.
I am
trying to set up an inbount network address translation and I'm not sure what
tools/facilities I should use.
Here's
what I'm trying to do:
I have
an application running on a host behind my firewall that listens for connections
at address 1.2.3.4:9999
where 1.2.3.4 is it's IP address on my internal network and
9999 is the TCP port number it listens at.
I also
have my firewall at 5.6.7.8 connected to the internet.
What I
would like to do is have hosts on the internet connect to 5.6.7.8:3333 and have
the connection be forwarded (or should I say rearwarded ???) to my internal host
at 1.2.3.4:9999.
My
question is what tools facilities can I use to do this?
Any
direct information or references to howtos for this would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanx
Jeff
