No Subject

Hi all

 I'm trying to backup some of my directories (/etc /usr ...) to other
machine (also Linux) via NFS.
 Can I preserve all UID's,GIDs ?
So far I haven't succeeded.

 My machine - Slackware 3.3 2.0.38
 Remote - Slackware 4.0 2.2.6
