Hello, I'm trying to set up a dialin PPP connection to my linux redhat 6.0 box. I'm using mgetty to answer the modem, it was compiled with the AutoPPP option enabled, so any win95 client can connect perfectly. I'm using pppd 2.3.7 (the one redhat ships) But the problem is that I can't see who is logged in at the time, I wan't to know who is logged in by useing "who" or "w". I use the "login" option with pppd, but it doesn't work. The user's login gets logged in the /var/log/wtmp file, because I can see that the user is connected by doing "last |grep "still logged"". How can I fix this problem? Where does "who" and "w" takes the user list from? This is my pppd configuration: -------------------- nodetach lock crtscts refuse-chap ms-dns 200.200.200.1 require-pap login 200.200.200.1:200.200.200.2 -------------------- Regards, Alan Mizrahi - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-net" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
