I have 2 Solaris (2.6) machines and 2 Linux (RedHat 6.0) machines. I
would like to use NFS to mount drives between these computers. I can
mount from Solaris to Solaris, from Linux to Linux, from Solaris to
Linux, but not from Linux to Solaris. When I try this I get:

nfs mount: earth: NFS service not responding
nfs mount: retrying: /mnt

I have read that Linux uses nfs version 2 and solaris uses version 3,
and I'm pretty sure this is my problem, but I'm afraid that I'll break
the mounts between the Suns if I force them to use version 2. (Also, I
don't know how to force the suns to use version 2)

Any suggestions?
TIA
Tony Giordano
